A Bit of History

Lakeview Premier was introduced in 2001 by Bernie Wilson of Lakeview Dahlias in Snohomish, Washington. It was Wilson's first Lakeview introduction and became the beginning of a collection that would eventually include numerous Lakeview varieties.

Officially classified as BB Formal Decorative, Lavender (3008), Lakeview Premier is especially valued for its beautiful form and unusual pale lavender coloring.

One of its most appealing characteristics is how its coloring can shift with growing conditions. Blooms may show more noticeable lavender tones during cooler weather and become considerably paler—sometimes approaching creamy white—in warmer conditions.

Lakeview Premier is also known as a productive cut-flower variety, producing an abundance of blooms on useful stems throughout the season.
